In search of dignity

Clarice Lispector ‘s work also inspired the creation of Ana Beatriz Nogueira’s new play, ‘A procura de uma dignidade’, which opens this month in Rio.
Originally published in the book “Onde Estivestes de Noite?” (1974), the short story tells the story of Mrs. Xavier, a woman who intended to attend an event, but ends up, by mistake, in the underground corridors of the Maracanã. In search of an exit door, she ends up plunging into an internal journey in search of her own identity.
