Free concerts, green beer, and lots of excitement over three weekends in different neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro. That’s what Rock 80 Festival has to offer, with a special edition this month to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, one of the most traditional holidays in Irish culture. Let us tell you more about this party!
Green beer, high-quality cover bands, and a nostalgic atmosphere

The Rock 80 Festival is already a well-established event in the city’s cultural calendar. That’s because the event brings together high-quality cover bands, a wide variety of cuisine, and a nostalgic atmosphere, with lots of music from the 1980s and 1990s!
However, this edition will have a different flavor. The festival will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, a traditional Irish holiday in memory of the country’s patron saint, St. Patrick.
That’s why the Rock 80 Festival will get into the spirit with lots of green craft beers produced especially for the event!
In addition, beer games promise to get the crowd going, such as the draft beer contest, with registration during the party itself.

In total, there will be three festival weekends in three different neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro.
The first edition takes place on March 7 and 8, at Aterro Flamengo, right at Posto 3. Starting at 11 a.m., the DJ opens the dance floor, warming up the audience for a musical marathon.
Then, different bands get the crowd going with their own repertoire and covers of songs by artists such as Oasis, Pearl Jam, Os Paralamas do Sucesso, Lulu Santos, Silverchair, Foo Fighters, among many others!
On March 14 and 15, the party takes over Quinta da Boa Vista, also starting at 11 a.m. To wrap things up, the Rock 80 Festival takes everyone to Urca to enjoy the last weekend of March in style!
The event is free, with an incentive to donate two kilos of non-perishable food to social institutions in Rio de Janeiro.
But among the new features of this edition, Rock 80 will have a VIP area close to the musical attractions, aimed at those seeking more comfort. Access costs R$ 120 and includes an exclusive T-shirt, official event cup, three beers, and use of the restroom.
