João Gomes, Gilberto Gil and more free concerts in Copacabana

New Year’s Eve 2026 in Rio de Janeiro promises to be quite a party, starting with the musical performances!
There will be more than 70 attractions, including free concerts by João Gomes, Gilberto Gil, Belo, Diogo Nogueira, Alok and the drums of the Beija-Flor and Grande Rio samba schools. All this only on the stages of Copacabana Beach!
New Year’s Eve 2026 in Rio de Janeiro will have stages all over the city
But as well as the traditional party in Copacabana, other stages will also be spread across different regions. So everyone will be able to feel the thrill of taking part in the world’s most famous party!
In Leme, for example, the stage will be dedicated to gospel music. So, as well as DJ Marcelo Araújo, the public will be able to see shows by Midiam Lima, Samuel Messias, Thales Roberto and Grupo Marcados.
On Flamengo beach, Joanna, Moacyr Luz and Samba do Trabalhador and a tribute to Raul Seixas have already been confirmed. On Ramos beach, Ana Peticov, MC Cacau and Balacobaco.
Other areas of the city will also be part of the party with free concerts. They are: Sepetiba, Parque Madureira, Parque da Penha, Parque Oeste (Inhoaíba), Ilha do Governador, Pedra de Guaratiba, Parque Realengo and Paquetá!
Surprises in the sky: drone show and unprecedented fireworks display

And of course the most famous attraction of the party will not be left out: the incredible fireworks display to celebrate the arrival of the new year.
However, locals and tourists are in for a surprise! According to the event organizers, there will be 19 rafts along the waterfront with a 12-minute light show.
It’s the biggest pyrotechnic show ever staged in Rio de Janeiro, with a special and exciting soundtrack. What’s more, the public will also see new visual dimensions, with more technology, new designs and a show of 1,200 drones!
