Since its premiere, the one-woman show “Não me entrego, não!” has been a resounding hit with audiences and critics alike.
Othon Bastos’ acclaimed monologue has already surpassed 250 performances and has drawn 100,000 spectators in various Brazilian cities. It even returned to Tucano (BA), the veteran actor’s hometown, where he hadn’t set foot in over 80 years!
This time, Othon will take his solo show to the suburbs and Rio’s West Zone as part of a tour with FUNARJ’s Giro Cultural project. The performances will take place, respectively, at the Imperator in Méier and at the Arthur Azevedo Theater in Campo Grande.

It is a mosaic of a lifetime divided into thematic sections— work, love, theater, cinema, politics, etc.—with reflections that include quotes and references from some of the world’s most important authors.
But that’s not all: at 93 years old, Othon Bastos exudes enthusiasm, good humor, and incredible energy on stage!
According to the actor, being on stage is a boost of energy that further stimulates vitality—not only his own, but also that of the play, which will continue touring throughout 2026. After this season, the cast and crew will continue searching for new venues to share this story of life and art that has been moving audiences.
This season, “Não me entrego, não!” returns to the stages of Rio de Janeiro, with performances on just two weekends. On September 11, 12, and 13, the shows will take place at the Imperator Theater in Méier. Then, on September 18 and 19, they’ll be at the Arthur Azevedo Theater in Campo Grande.
