Going to an exhibition is already a unique program. Whether it’s visiting art galleries, seeing classic and contemporary works or even meeting new and “old” artists. But when it comes to an immersive experience, you have the chance to go far beyond looking. That’s why we’ve put together 4 immersive experiences in Rio de Janeiro that are not to be missed!
Studio Drift – Life in Things
This is the first time that the Dutch collective, founded in 2007 by artists Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta, has exhibited in Brazil. But that’s not the only reason why it’s worth checking out “Studio Drift – Life in Things”, which is on show at the CCBB(which is among the most visited museums in the world!).
The immersive experience features sculptures, installations and experimental performances that fuse art, design, technology, science and nature. What’s more, all the works have been specially planned for the CCBB’s spaces, reassembled to integrate organically with the building’s features.

Tamagotchi_Balé
Imagine a space with videos, performances and sound installations that reflect on digital dystopias, algorithms and affections mediated by big tech in the age of digitalization. It sounds like a journey, but it’s the creation of visual artist Anna Costa e Silva.
It all started after a dream she had about taking a “future” course to learn how to live in a world without relationships. To add an extra touch to this immersive experience, she invited fellow artist Darks Miranda. So, just check out “Tamagotchi_Balé” to understand!
📅 Until 03/06

Pixar World
Fans of Pixar ‘s cartoons are in for a treat with this immersive experience coming to Rio de Janeiro in June. This is because “Pixar World” is considered to be the largest Pixar event ever held in the world and takes visitors on a real journey into the public’s favorite stories.
There are themed rooms, projections, realistic and immersive scenarios, to remember scenes from films such as UP: High Adventures, Toy Story, Cars, Amusing Mind, Soul, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Lightyear, Monsters S.A., among others. You can’t miss out!

Revenguê: an exhibition-scene
The solo show by artist Yhuri Cruz addresses the revenge of life and the politics of presence, in an immersive experience at the Rio Art Museum. His inspiration is a fiction he has developed over the last few years, in which he presents a new planet and the impact this new place has on people.
“Revenguê: an exhibition-scene” is divided into four nuclei, with performance presentations by Yhuri and six other artists. In addition, during the performance, other works are created for the exhibition. Well worth a visit!
