After being postponed due to the heavy rains in the city, the Rio Cod Festival has now been rescheduled. The first edition of the gastronomic and cultural event will take place at Praça Paris on April 12 and 13, with free admission!
More than 30 cod-based dishes, with recipes from renowned chefs
For those who love cod and still want to enjoy a good program in the city, this gastronomic event is a must! That’s because, at the Rio Cod Festival, the public will be able to choose from more than 30 cod-based dishes, with exclusive recipes from renowned chefs!
But if you don’t care that much for fish, you’ll also be able to enjoy the Festival. As well as gastronomy, the event also features a fashion, accessories and decoration fair.
There’s also an exclusive area for children, with lots of activities to keep them energized. And more: samba circles and jazz performances are included in the musical program!
First edition of the Rio Cod Festival takes place at Praça Paris
The first edition of the Rio Codfish Festival will take place on April 12 and 13, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Praça Paris, in the Glória neighborhood. Admission is free!
The location wasn’t chosen by chance either! According to Alberto Szafran, deputy mayor of Centro, the recent revitalization of Praça Paris has made the space even better for hosting festivals and cultural events, as well as enhancing one of Rio’s Rio’s historical heritage.
