This weekend, Rio de Janeiro hosts the first edition of BBQ Sem Fronteiras. The event takes place at the Jockey Club on August 15 and brings together cuisine, drinks, and musical performances in an all-inclusive format. Learn more here!
Chefs from Rio de Janeiro will be in charge of barbecue stations, curated by Thomas Troisgois

With the name “BBQ Fronteiras,” the festival already gives a taste of what the event is all about. Thus, barbecue is the star of the show, prepared in a variety of ways.
The culinary curation is led by Chef Thomas Troisgros, who invited prominent figures from the Rio de Janeiro culinary scene to lead different barbecue stations.
Among the dishes already revealed is chorizo with fresh parsley vinaigrette and a parsley salad, created by Thomas himself. Meanwhile, Bruno Katz (Katz-su, NOSSO, Chanchada) is preparing a Korean BBQ ssam made with cupim, slow-roasted and glazed with Korean BBQ sauce, served with shari rice, kimchi, pickles, and greens.
But BBQ Sem Fronteiras isn’t just about barbecue. If you’re craving something sweet, Chef Carola Troisgros (A Colher de Pau) is behind the dessert station, featuring a crepe filled with dulce de leche and topped with Sol & Neve cachaça ice cream.
The beverage selection will feature Eisenbahn draft beer, cocktails, wines, and sparkling wines, with the menu curated by Lelo Forti.
BBQ Sem Fronteiras will also feature music and a kids’ area

In addition to the food, BBQ Sem Fronteiras will feature three concerts inspired by the world of pop rock.
The musical lineup features performances by George Israel, Os Últimos, and ETC, as well as DJs throughout the event.
The festival will also feature a kids’ area staffed by specialized supervisors, offering comfort, safety, and fun for children while adults enjoy the program!
BBQ Sem Fronteiras takes place on August 15, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Jockey Club. Tickets are on sale; for more information, check the event’s official social media channels.
