In response to requests due to Rock in Rio, the Korean Flavors and Lights Festival has changed its date!
After touring 13 cities in São Paulo, the festival will make its Rio de Janeiro debut in October in Barra da Tijuca. For three days, the event will take place at Uptown Barra, featuring themed activities free for all ages. Find out all the details here!
The display featuring 2,000 lanterns is one of the highlights

One of the highlights of the Korean Flavors and Lights Festival is right there in the visuals! With 2,000 lanterns lighting up the scene, the festival transports you directly to the streets of South Korea without ever leaving Rio.
But the festival goes far beyond the scenery! The event also brings together traditional cuisine, plenty of music, dance, workshops, and crafts all in one place.
What to eat, see, and do at the Korean Flavors and Lights Festival

Anyone attending the festival will have the chance to sample traditional Korean cuisine. That’s because expert chefs and food entrepreneurs will showcase everything from classic Korean dishes to the street foods that have taken the world by storm.
Think bibimbap, bulgogi, tteokbokki, kimbap, mandu, Korean fried chicken and hot dogs, plus desserts, drinks, and other specialties.
Not to mention the event’s diverse cultural program! K-pop masterclasses, dance battles, performances by groups and cover artists, K-dramas, Korean calligraphy workshops, and displays of South Korean culture are among the festival’s attractions.
And for those who want to take a little piece of Korea home , the event features an area dedicated to the creative economy, bringing together small entrepreneurs, artists, artisans, and brands linked to Asian culture.
