Although temperatures are already soaring in Rio de Janeiro, summer only officially begins on December 21. And kicking off the hottest season of the year is the Pici Jazz Festival! The event reaches its sixth edition this weekend, at Praça Nossa Senhora da Paz, in Ipanema, with lots of music, gastronomy and more!
The festival was born out of a desire to expand gastronomy into music

The project was the brainchild of restaurateur Leo Rezende, who arrived in Ipanema 10 years ago to open the Italian Pici Trattoria, opposite Praça Nossa Senhora da Paz. At the time, according to Leo, the area offered few options for eating and drinking, as Leblon was the gastronomic hot spot of the moment.
Thus, the Pici Jazz Festival was born precisely from rescuing the festive and cultural atmosphere of Ipanema and from the dream of uniting gastronomy with music. It worked! This is already the sixth edition of the event, with three days of full squares, accessible to people of all ages, and a very varied program!
