Holidays in 2025 in Rio de Janeiro: national, state and municipal
In 2024 the list of holidays wasn’t so encouraging, after all, many of them fell on the weekend.
However, the holidays in 2025 promise more days off in the middle of the week. So check out the full list of national, state and municipal holidays in Rio in 2025:

- April 18 (Friday): Good Friday

For those who live in Rio de Janeiro, it will be possible to have time off or long weekends in the city. That’s because, in addition to the national ones, some holidays will be in the State and Municipality of Rio de Janeiro. They are:
