The six Brazilian biomes will serve as the central theme of the fourth edition of the Harmonia Festival, which takes place August 28–30 at Parque das Figueiras, on the shores of Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.
With free admission and programming for all ages, the event transforms the Amazon, Caatinga, Cerrado, Atlantic Forest, Pampa, and Pantanal into a curatorial axis that connects music, gastronomy, art, and sustainability over the course of three days.
Harmonia Festival Brings Together Different Generations of Brazilian Music
The Festival Harmonia concert lineup brings together artists with diverse repertoires and career paths. On Friday (August 28), Rafael Sperduto kicks off the program, followed by Toquinho featuring Camila Faustino —a collaboration that bridges generations in Brazilian popular music.
On Saturday (August 29), the Petrobras Symphony Orchestra and Leoni will take the stage, followed by a set from DJ Jamal. On Sunday (August 30), Roberta Sá and Serjão Loroza will close out the festival, once again featuring a performance by DJ Jamal.
The culinary offerings feature ingredients typical of each Brazilian biome
The culinary program draws on the typical ingredients of each biome.
Thus, classes led by chefs such as Erick Jacquin, Bel Coelho, Regina Tchelly, and others introduce participants to the region before they begin preparing the dishes.
In addition, culinary stations curated by Rafael Gomes, Frédéric Monnier, Elia Schramm, Heaven Delhaye, and Ignacio Peixoto will also be available to the public throughout the three days.
Workshops, a small market, and accessibility at the Harmonia Festival
Throughout the event, Parque das Figueiras will also host open music and art workshops, activities focused on biodiversity and culture, and a small farmers’ market featuring producers linked to the creative economy.
The festival’s facilities include accessible routes, ramps, accessible restrooms, a platform for people with disabilities, Brazilian Sign Language interpretation, and audio description.
The event takes place this weekend in Lagoa, and organizers expect to welcome around 25,000 people over the three days.
