Fullgás – visual arts and the 1980s in Brazil
Don’t miss the Fullgás exhibition at the CCBB. This is because the show brings together around 300 works by more than 200 artists from all regions of the country, as well as documents and objects, which give an overview of the 1980s in Brazil.
However, the show takes a broad approach to the period, understanding that its questions and impulses began and ended outside the ten-year time frame that traditionally constitutes a decade.
Thus, it covers the period between 1978 and 1993, with the end of Institutional Act 5 and the year after the impeachment of former president Fernando Collor de Mello as milestones.
📅Until January 2025 | Wednesday to Monday, 9am to 8pm
📌CCBB | Rua Primeiro de Março, 66 – Centro

From these “hot” creations, the artist creates compositions in watercolor and later in acrylic paint.
