Also at the Centro Cultural Correios, the exhibition ‘Passagens, vestígios’ presents the works of Sheila Mancebo.
The show brings together new works developed from textile and plastic waste collected from clothing manufacturers in Rio de Janeiro’s mountainous region. The artist uses discarded fragments to investigate relationships between time, transformation and permanence.

Starting this month, CAIXA Cultural do Rio presents the exhibition Frans Krajcberg – A Semantics of Devastation.
The show brings together 39 works by the Polish-born Brazilian artist, who was a pioneer in integrating art and the environment. Curated by Alejandra Muñoz, the exhibition features sculptures, reliefs, engravings and a rare drawing by Krajcberg!

The exhibition-manifesto brings together 80 images by two of Brazil’s most important photo-documentarians, Luciano Candisani and Lalo de Almeida, curated by Eder Chiodetto .
A critical look at the Pantanal as it contrasts the exuberance of the biome with tragic images of the fires of 2020 and 2024.

Handicrafts from the state of Mato Grosso are gaining national prominence with the exhibition ‘Curvas Pantaneiras’(Pantanal Curves), which is being held at the Sebrae Reference Center for Brazilian Handicrafts (CRAB).
The free exhibition invites the public to immerse themselves in the traditions, knowledge and expressions that shape the Pantanal identity and reveal the talent of the hands that transform culture into art, inspired by the sinuous shapes of the biome.

At CCBB, the ‘Manguezal‘ exhibition invites the public to immerse themselves in the poetics of mangroves, where nature, memory and culture intertwine!
With works by different artists and languages, the highlight is the installation “Vermelho-Mangue”, by carnival artists Gabriel Haddad and Leonardo Bora, which reinterprets a set of sculptural pieces originally designed for the scenography of the second float in the 2025 parade of the Grande Rio samba school .

Imaginary Archipelago

Curated by Bitu Cassundé, the exhibition ‘Imaginary Archipelago’ offers an immersion in the work of photographer Luiz Braga. His images portray the landscapes, individuals, customs and traditions of Pará, captured through moments of exchange and coexistence.
The exhibition brings together 191 photographs produced from the 1970s to the present day – most of them exhibited only once. The selection highlights the photographer’s strong connection with his home territory and his intimate perspective on the environments and characters portrayed.

Abstract Orbits

Sesc Niterói is holding a first-ever exhibition of contemporary Brazilian artists working with abstraction in printmaking.
