Festa Brasileira is part of Rio Art Week
Promoting national handicrafts and celebrating Brazilian popular culture are among the main pillars of CRAB—the Sebrae Reference Center for Brazilian Handicrafts—which is hosting the 2nd edition of Festa Brasileira this weekend .
With free admission and a free program, the event is part of Rio Art Week and returns this year in an expanded format. Thus, there will be various cultural expressions from different regions of Brazil, artisans, local cuisine, games, music, and activities for the whole family.

An invitation to celebrate Brazil in all its diversity
Open to all ages, the Brazilian Festival creates a space for socializing, exchange, and the celebration of traditional knowledge and crafts.
According to Ana Simões, CRAB’s Coordinator of Coordination and Partnerships: “The public can expect two days of great joy, with crafts taking center stage and other cultural expressions helping to showcase Brazil’s richness and diversity.”
Furthermore, the choice of Tiradentes Square as the festival’s venue was no accident. An important historical and cultural site in downtown Rio, the location reinforces the goal of filling public spaces with art, culture, gatherings, and experiences that are part of Brazilian memory and identity.
