However, many people prefer to go out and enjoy a delicious meal away from home. Casa Milà
Chef Fernando Almeida has created exclusive recipes for Easter Sunday at Casa Milà. On the special menu, the Codfish Crostini on a bed of garlic paste is the starter option.
As for the main course, the Fish Brandade is a Provençal delicacy of white fish with potatoes, with a delicate texture and refined flavor. The Ganache Cake filled with Strawberry Cream is the perfect dessert to end the day in style!

Baleia Rio’s
Baleia Rio’s also has a special menu for Holy Week and Easter.
Among the options, chef Bruno Barros suggests Bacalhau Confit in the oven, with potatoes, broccoli, peppers and olives; Robalo Santorini, with zucchini spaghetti and basil pesto; and Peixe do Dia Crostato, baked in a coarse salt crust with creamy escarole and bacon. Delicious!

Casa Camolese
Located opposite the Botanical Garden with views of Christ the Redeemer and the Jockey, Casa Camolese is well worth a visit to celebrate Easter.
On the special menu for the date, signed by chef Jessé Valentim, the order is the fresh codfish confit, with baked potatoes, sautéed red onion and watercress.

Pitanga
On the other side of the bridge, in Niterói, the Pitanga restaurant will also be serving the traditional Easter lunch, but in a different way.
Those who order the tasting menu (served in 9 stages) will receive a complimentary fish ceviche with coconut milk. The menu includes: scallop tartar, chayote and tomato water; fish of the day maki, masago and ponzu; octopus with Spanish escabeche and lettuce; and, to cleanse the palate, passion fruit sorbet.
And there’s more, okay? Next, grilled grapes with dry curd, sumac, mint and leaf bread. Then mjadra rice, cauliflower, fried onions and hummus. There’s also grilled squid, moqueca and uarini farofa. The gastronomic experience closes in style with red fruits, praline and the Pitanga version of the classic “Romeo and Juliet”, a dessert made with cream cheese, guava, mille-feuille and basil.

Anyone from Rio de Janeiro knows that CADEG has a tradition when it comes to Easter.
What’s more, the advantage is that you can enjoy the holiday at the Municipal Market or take the products with you to eat at home. Until March 31st, Mesa Santa is taking place, a gastronomic festival with everything you need to eat well during Easter week.

The Clarice restaurant, located in the Hilton hotel in Copacabana, will hold an Easter Brunch on March 31, open to guests and non-guests.
The buffet will include a seafood paella station, salads, a table of naturally leavened breads and more than ten hot food options, such as salmon fillet, shrimp bobó, Portuguese cod with cream, lamb shoulder, among others. And, of course, the chocolate and dessert station!

Babbo Osteria
The Babbo Osteria restaurant is run by chef Elia Schramm, who has prepared an exclusive recipe for the Easter weekend.
It’s worth ordering the Grigliatta Mista di Mare, with prawns, scallops, mussels, octopus and fish, accompanied by asparagus risotto and a salad of marinated tomatoes. Perfect for sharing!

Alvaro’s
Another good suggestion for where to eat at Easter is Alvaro’s restaurant. The special menu features hearty recipes for two people and includes classic options.
Among them, Octopus Provençal Style with garlic, mushrooms and fried garlic accompanied by broccoli rice. There’s also Spanish-style codfish steak, Portuguese-style codfish and shrimp “ao Bonino“, with breaded VG shrimp with catupiry and raisin rice.

Gajos D’Ouro
This award-winning Portuguese restaurant is perfect for celebrating Easter. After all, with a menu full of fish and seafood, there’s no shortage of tasty options to celebrate the date.
For this holiday, an exclusive chef’s suggestion will be on offer. It’s the grilled seafood platter, which serves 2-3 people, with broccoli rice, baked potatoes with rosemary and Mozambique sauce, a spicy sauce made with butter, pepper and parsley.

If you still don’t know where to eat on Easter, Cumbuca offers some very interesting options.
The first is the Maravilha Inca 2.0, with cubes of white fish fillet, tiger’s milk, sweet potato chips, cherry tomatoes, coriander, rolled coconut, crunchy corn, chili peppers and a quinoa base. The Hula-Hula Salmon has diced raw salmon, sweet potato chips, gohan rice (can be replaced with mixed leaves or quinoa), cream cheese, cherry tomatoes, red onion, fresh peas, secret sauce and sesame mix.
Among the meals where prawns are the star of the show, Borogodó is worth ordering, with prawn bobó, rice, coconut farofa and fresh coconut. There’s also the Pokeka, a tilapia moqueca, panko farofa with coconut, biquinho pepper and rice. Or the Anti-Stress Risotto, with arborio rice with homemade vegetable broth, sautéed shrimp, parmesan cheese and Sicilian lemon.
