Vinícius Show is open again! After being closed for six years, the emblematic venue, which has played host to so many big names, has undergone renovations and is reopening with new features and a concert schedule full of tributes. Find out more!
The venue was founded in 1989 and has hosted big names from the bossa nova and MPB genres

Of course, the name ‘Vinícius Show’ is no coincidence – and neither is the address where the venue is located.
That’s because the concert hall was founded in 1989 in Ipanema as a tribute to the Brazilian singer and poet Vinícius de Moraes.
During its thirty years of operation, the house has welcomed big names in music to its stage, such as João Donato, Baden Powell, Dona Ivone Lara, Carlos Lyra, among others.
In addition, it has always been a stronghold of bossa nova and the right meeting point for anyone looking for good music, gastronomy and culture.
In 2019, the house began to undergo renovations, but had to close due to pandemic restrictions. So, six years later, the venue has finally reopened its doors, with shows already scheduled and more news inside!
Check out what’s new at the ‘Vinícius Show’ and the shows coming up!

To begin with, the changes are already visible in the environment. This is because the ‘Vinicius Show’ house has doubled its capacity and now holds up to 150 people.
In addition, the house is much more modern, with new sound, light and projection equipment, as well as new decoration. And, of course, the live music shows are already taking place there – with lots of beautiful tributes!
Among the performances in July, Maria Creuza and Marcos Ariel will pay tribute to Vinicius de Moraes and Tom Jobim, respectively. In August, Wagner Tiso and Toninho Horta recall the hits of Clube da Esquina. In September, Eliane Faria takes to the stage of the Vinícius Show with a beautiful tribute to her father, Paulinho da Viola.
The house is open every day, but the live shows always take place from Thursday to Sunday, with tickets starting at R$60 (half-price).
