That’s because the Imperial City, located in the mountainous region of Rio will host an incredible Christmas event, complete with an ice and snow kingdom, giant sculptures and scenes illuminated by thousands of lights! The last edition of Vale Encantado in Petrópolis was a success, attracting thousands of people. That’s why the Christmas event is heading up the mountain again, but this time with more new features and unprecedented experiences.
One of them, right at the entrance, is the Switch-on Show, a real light and sound show led by Petrus, the host of the evening.
In addition to him, other characters join this sensory journey in stages, with environments created to awaken the imagination and bring the magic of Christmas.
This is the case of the Enchanted Arctic, a kingdom of scenographic snow and ice, with shades of blue and white. In addition, the Garden of Light and the Tunnel of Light are covered in thousands of micro-lights and connect the public to the House of Wishes. There, you can write messages and what you want to achieve in the coming new year.
What’s more, visitors will also be able to see giant sculptures and imposing objects, such as the Moon Wolf and the Tree of Life, which lights up in a special ritual and marks the culmination of the magical journey.
There’s also a Christmas Village, full of goodies and crafts to get you even more into the festive mood!
Christmas event arrives in Petrópolis this month
The Christmas season in Petrópolis starts this month, on November 14, and runs until January 4, 2026.
The Enchanted Valley will be installed in front of the Crystal Palace, with tickets starting at R$25 .
