This month, the Music at the Museum series celebrates its 28th anniversary – and with a very special program! The project presents “The Immortals of Brazilian Music and International Geniuses”, bringing together classical piano concerts , choral singing and vocal repertoire inspired by the city of Rio de Janeiro. Rio’s CCBB and Outeiro da Glória host first performances

The Music at the Museum series kicks off on Wednesday, August 13. The first performance begins at the CCBB in Rio de Janeiro, with a concert by pianist Jorge Saraiva, at 12:30pm. With over 25 years of artistic experience, the pianist presents a program dedicated to the great international classics.
The series will also feature the traditional concert of the Festa de Nossa Senhora da Glória do Outeiro on the same day, at 7pm. The event takes place in one of the city’s most important monuments, with the special participation of the Cruz Lopes Madrigal Choir, performing different versions of the “Ave-Maria” prayer in honor of the patron saint.
The Justice Cultural Center and Copacabana Fortress will also host concerts

On Thursday 14th, the Federal Justice Cultural Center (CCJF) will host the vocal choir “Som Bonde Carioca”, which will perform songs that reflect the spirit of the Marvelous City!
Under the musical direction of Deco Fiori, the group traces its journey through the past and present, celebrating Rio‘s neighborhoods and nights!
Also performing this month is the Army Museum, at the Copacabana Fort, with the Sisejufe Choir.
Made up of active and inactive civil servants from the TRE, TRF, JF and TRT, as well as family members and guests, the group’s aim is leisure, socializing, contact with art and the dissemination of Brazilian music.
