The initiative is a campaign conceived by FENEEC (National Federation of Film Exhibition Companies), with the support of ABRAPLEX (Brazilian Association of Film Exhibition Companies and Multiplex Operators).
And it’s been an absolute success! There have already been six editions in cinemas all over Brazil, with millions of people taking advantage of the promotion to check out national and international releases!
According to Marcos Barros, president of ABRAPLEX, it’s a worldwide trend to promote the movie-going experience in a festive atmosphere, which becomes even more relevant.

During Cinema Week, there’s a discount on tickets and popcorn!
Cinema Week is a great time to check out the best movies playing in theaters across the country.
That’s because, from August 28 to September 3, tickets are 10 reais! The promotion is valid for all screenings, at all times – including weekends! It doesn’t apply to previews or special screenings, ok?
There are also promotions on popcorn and soft drink combos and other products.
In Rio de Janeiro, several cinemas will be running promotions throughout the week, including Cinemark and Cinesystem.
