Starting August 1, Rio de Janeiro-based photographer Bruno Guerchon will hold his first solo exhibition at Ava Galleria, located at Fábrica Bhering. The exhibition “Inspiration and Reflection” is curated by Edson Cardoso and will feature 16 recent and previously unseen photographs by the artist. Learn more!
The photographs in the “Inspiration and Reflection” exhibition are divided into five themes
Bruno Guerchon has been taking photographs for over ten years, but it was in 2018 that photography became his profession. The artist began by specializing in scenic images before moving on to his own artistic work.
In recent years, Bruno has participated in several group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, including group shows at Fábrica Bhering itself. However, this will be his first solo exhibition, featuring recent and previously unseen works produced by the artist from 2024 to the present.
In the “Inspiration and Reflection” exhibition, the photographs are divided into five themes: “landscape,” “people,” “wildlife,” “abstract,” and “nature.”
The works in the “Landscape,” “Nature,” and “Fauna” series depict the outside world. The artist’s intention is to inspire viewers to pause and contemplate them.
According to Bruno, the works in the “abstract” series, on the other hand, connect directly with the unconscious.
Finally, the photographs under the “human” theme do not necessarily feature people, but rather environments and circumstances that connect with human life.
They were taken in the city of Aparecida de Goiânia, documenting the work of an NGO that helps people in vulnerable situations.
The exhibition will open during the “Bhering Open House” event
With free admission, the opening of “Inspiration and Reflection” will take place on August 1 at Ava Galleria, and the exhibition will run through the 15th.
The exhibition opening will take place during “Bhering Open House, ” an event held on the first Saturday of every month, when the studios and galleries of the cultural hub are open to the public.
