Get ready for an incredible experience this winter in Rio de Janeiro. That’s because the 5th edition of the Delícias do Vale do Café Festival is already set to take place in the charming district of Conservatória!
From August 7 to 16, the region becomes the perfect destination for anyone who loves authentic regional cuisine. We’ll tell you more below!
Concerts, cuisine, and more on the event schedule
To kick off this celebration, “Delícias na Praça” takes place right at the start of the festival. The event is held at Praça de Conservatória on August 7 and 8, featuring concerts, chef demonstrations, tastings, and sales of local handicrafts.

The Delícias do Vale do Café Festival includes visits to historic farms and sightseeing tours
Inspired by the cozy “Cozinha de Fazenda” (farmhouse kitchen ), the food festival brings together 60 participants, including 20 restaurants, as well as various local producers and artisans.
Throughout the ten-day festival , restaurants will serve exclusive dishes prepared especially for the occasion at fixed prices. Main courses range from R$69 to R$99, sandwiches from R$39 to R$49, and desserts from R$19 to R$39.
In addition to the cuisine, visitors are invited to explore the tourist routes of the Vale do Café, such as the famous Cachaça, Cheese, and Coffee Routes. The area also offers tours of historic farms and iconic cultural venues, such as Cine Centímetro and Espaço Sonora in Conservatória, as well as beautiful natural attractions.
As Maria Inês Oliveros of Tropic Produções, the event’s organizer, points out, “the festival aims to highlight the cuisine and culture of the Vale do Café, which is rich in history and traditions, as well as exceptional ingredients. The event seeks to integrate the entire regional tourism supply chain, including gastronomy, lodging, producers, and attractions.”
