Rio de Janeiro has beautiful beaches But for those who like to surf, the waves aren’t always in the best condition. So how about a place with perfect waves and several other attractions? That’s the bet of Brasil Surfe Clube, which is coming to Rio in 2026. Find out more !
Project foresees the largest wave pool in the Southern Hemisphere
The project is audacious: to build the largest wave pool in the Southern Hemisphere!
This is because, with a total area of approximately 14,000 square meters, the pools can generate up to 700 waves per hour, lasting up to 25 seconds and with a height of 2.1 meters.
In addition, they will be divided according to the level of the surfers. So, from beginners to experts, everyone will be able to enjoy the crest of the wave.
The company responsible for the pools is Endless Surf, which uses the latest technology to generate artificial waves.
Brasil Surfe Clube goes beyond aquatic physical activity
Despite its name and its focus on surfers and those immersed in the world of surfing, Brasil Surfe Clube goes beyond physical activity.
This is because the development also offers leisure areas, gastronomic spaces, sports courts, a spa, a gym and even accommodation, depending on the unit.
Búzios and Mangaratiba will have Brazil’s first units
Brasil Surfe Clube is scheduled to open in 2026, but the first two units have already been defined.
One of them is on the Costa Verde, more precisely in Mangaratiba, less than two hours from Rio. As well as a wave pool for surfing, the space also has a spa, a gastronomic area and various leisure options, amidst the green mountains and the crystal-clear waters of the sea.
There is also the Búzios unit, which is in the Lakes Region and also has a giant swimming pool, spa, coworking, hotel, skate park and more!
It’s important to note that you have to be a member of Brasil Surfe Clube to enjoy these exclusive spaces. Non-members will be able to attend as long as they are invited by a member and pay an entrance fee.
