This holiday, there will be a beer festival in Santa Teresa. So take advantage of your time off and the streetcar to enjoy Cervejeresa, which takes place from November 20 to 23 in the bars and streets of the historic district. The program includes a special menu, a free tour, chats with experts and lots of music! Check out more details of this party!
Bars and restaurants welcome guest breweries
For the beer festival, several bars and restaurants in Santa will be hosting guest breweries and preparing suggestions for pairings with dishes created especially for the event.
At Café do Alto, for example, the suggestion is to pair the Session IPA from Therezópolis beer with sausage dumplings with parmesan. At Bar do Mineiro, the suggestion is to combine the ham sandwich with pineapple with their own beer produced by Cervejaria do Funil.
In addition, Adega do Pimenta and other famous establishments in the neighborhood will be participating in the party, with delicious gastronomic options! To make it easier to sample the participating bars, an illustrated experience guide will be distributed with all the attractions of the event and the addresses of cultural venues in the neighborhood!
A beer tour and a talk with sommeliers are on the program
At Cervejeresa, there will also be a free beer tour with sommelier and teacher Marcelo Neves and beer sommelier Mariana Christichini .
The two will take the public to three bars in Santa Teresa, on Saturday and Sunday, to taste Therezópolis beer and exchange information about beer styles.
To take part, all you have to do is sign up at the Therezópolis trolley that will be positioned in Largo dos Guimarães over the weekend. There will be 15 places per day, filled on a first-come , first-served basis.
In addition, for those who want to learn more about the world of beer, there will be talks with experts in Parque Glória Maria at 3pm this weekend.
Music with DJs and beer toasts liven up Cervejeresa
And there’s even a toast! Here’s how it works: each beer consumed in a bar participating in the event is worth a stamp in the passport taken from the Experience Guide.
So, after completing four stamps, visitors can exchange them for a long neck at the Therezópolis trolley, the official sponsor of Cervejeresa, in Largo dos Guimarães. The action will be accompanied by music from DJs. Here’s the schedule
